Last week, Soccer Australia's chairman Ian Knop said he wanted both Blatter and Hayatour to state their intentions about Oceania's World Cup path before his organisation decided who to vote for in the presidential elections in Seoul next week.
"This election is a landmark event in FIFA's history and before Oceania makes a decision as to who to support, we need a clear policy statement on Oceania's future from both Sepp Blatter and Issa Hayatou," Knop told the media.
"Both candidates have made certain statements and signals about their views on Oceania. However, we don't feel we have a clear understanding of their respective positions and the difference between those positions.
"Now is the chance for them to declare their clear understanding [of this issue]."
