The agreement with the Florida-based LAFC, which has relationships with 25 leagues, 60 football agents and 150 clubs, allows BISYS to offer its specialty insurance products to approximately 7,500 professional players around the world.
Said LAFC chairman Manny Baines: "Merchandising, television, image rights and the transfer value of a player from one team to another all depend on a player's ability to play. The insurance products provided by BISYS will now protect the soccer players and federations from the devastating effects of career-ending injuries."
Len Reynolds, president of BISYS' Insurance and Education Services Group added: "This agreement clearly validates our recent acquisition of the Hanleigh Companies, which provide the specialised products required by this high-end insurance market."
As well as providing representation services to players, LAFC is involved in stadium construction and sponsorship development throughout Latin America.
