The Football Association have announced that Michael Jeffries, the boss of a multi-national construction company, is the new chairman of Wembley National Stadium Limited (WNSL). He will chair the board, which has been slimmed down to attract more City funding.
Following the agreement of all stakeholders, previous chairman Sir Rodney Walker has stood down and will not keep a place on the new board.
Jeffries is chairman of WS Atkins, which owns construction companies in the UK, America and Denmark. He will chair a board which will include FA chief executive Adam Crozier and Sunderland AFC chairman Bob Murray. Other members of the board are Clive Sherling, David Ross and Peter Mead.
