The Cruising Yacht Club of Australia has finally secured a naming rights sponsor for Australia's most famous ocean race, the Australian Associated Press confirmed today.
The 2001 Sydney to Hobart race was the first in almost 30 years not to have a naming rights sponsor after Telstra ended its six-year association with the event.
Peter Campbell from the CYCA would not disclose either the name of the sponsor or the size of it.
The sponsor will be revealed at an announcement at the club on Thursday week.
