The investment group set up to handle Major League Soccer and World Cup rights in the US has been named Soccer United Marketing (SUM).

Anschutz Entertainment Group, The Hunt Sports Group and Dentsu are the initial investors in SUM, with new investors expected in the future.

SUM's five-year broadcast agreement includes the television rights to Major League Soccer and the next two World Cups in the US.

ABC and ESPN have agreed to host the broadcasts though 2006.
