Beginning with the 2003 season, NBC will produce four regional games per week over the course of the AFL's 15-week regular season which will kick off in February as of next year in line with NBC's scheduling wishes.
The network will also televise all post-season games and the league's ArenaBowl title finale. In total, NBC will broadcast 71 games, resulting in 55 hours of live programming each year.
Where the rights agreement differs from traditional contracts is that the deal is also a 'revenue-sharing' arrangement which provides NBC with an equity stake in the league as well as share income derived from the value of the AFL franchises.
