Vans renews Triple Crown partnerships

Vans, Inc, the global extreme sports brand has renewed its strategic marketing partnerships with three major companies for the Vans Triple Crown Series.

Pepsi-Cola Company's Mountain Dew brand, Ford Motor Company's Ford Division Trucks and The Gillette Company's Right Guard Xtreme Sport have renewed for the 2002-03 Vans Triple Crown Series, set to kick off on March 29-30 in Indianapolis with the Mountain Dew National Championships of Freestyle Motocross.
"Recently, sponsorship and media environments have seen many companies running for cover and we see these renewals as a testament to the strength of the Vans Triple Crown Series and its connection to our target consumers,'' said Jay Wilson, Vans' vice president, global marketing.
The Vans Triple Crown Series features three championship events in each of the following sports: skateboarding, wakeboarding, surfing, snowboarding, BMX and freestyle motocross with $2million (EUR 2.3m) prize money on offer annually.
