(Reuters) Bayern commercial manager Uli Hoeness signed a deal on Friday with Telekom, which until now has mainly restricted its sports sponsorship to the Team Telekom cycling team, claimed reports.
The deal is worth around EUR25m ($21.59m) per year to Bayern and beat off rival bids from Viag Interkom and Deutsche Post.
German telecoms giant Deutsche Telekom AG will sponsor European Champions Bayern Munich next season, replacing car maker Opel, according to German reports.
