Candidates to host soccer's Euro 2008 tournament have until the end of today to submit official bids to governing body UEFA.

Six bids are expected, although UEFA has not ruled out surprise late entries.

Anticipated to apply are a number of joint bids, among them Scotland & Ireland; Switzerland & Austria; Greece & Turkey; Croatia & Bosnia; a Nordic bid including Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway; and a solo application from Hungary.
