Fight on for UEFA Ex Com

Fourteen candidates have been proposed for seven seats on UEFA's Executive Committee ahead of its elections on April 24.

The closing date for applications was midnight on February 25 and the elections will take place at the XXVI Ordinary UEFA Congress, to be held in Stockholm, Sweden.
Lennart Johansson was earlier confirmed as the sole nominee for the post of UEFA president and will automatically be reconfirmed as a FIFA vice-president.
But seven UEFA Executive Committee seats are available, six of them for four-year terms and the last one for a two-year term.
Des Casey (Republic of Ireland), Frantisek Chvalovsky (Czech Republic), and Claude Simonet (France) will retire from the UEFA Executive Committee. Four other members of the UEFA Executive Committee will stand for re-election: Senes Erzik (Turkey), Dr. Viacheslav Koloskov (Russia), Giangiorgio Spiess (Switzerland) and Angel Maria Villar Llona (Spain).
The terms of office of four European members of the FIFA Executive Committee: Lennart Johansson (Sweden), Antonio Matarrese (Italy), Per Ravn Omdal (Norway) and David Will (Scotland) will also end at the coming FIFA Congress.
David Will represents the four British national associations who are allowed to have a permanent member in the FIFA Executive Committee.
The occupation of his position will be decided by these four associations and not by the UEFA Congress.
