EBU sign-up for Sportel

The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) has signed up to exhibit for the first time at SportelAmerica, later this year.

It joins Japanese advertising giant and former ISL shareholder, Dentsu as first-timers.

Already confirmed for the March 25-28 event are a host of the industry's biggest names, for what is traditionally - along with its European sister event - the biggest sports broadcast forum of the year.

As always, Sportel will host a major international panel discussion. Titled 'Sponsorships that Score', the discussion will include such topics as stretching advertising/sponsorship dollars, strategies for creating a winning promotional campaign and the use of such concepts as virtual advertising and product placement to enhance brand recognition.

A blue-ribband panel is currently being assembled and an announcement will be made shortly.

As in past years, the National Football League along with the Sportel Organisation will co-host the market opening cocktail on Monday evening, March 25.
