Nevada delays ruling on boxer tattoo ads

The Nevada State Athletic Commission has delayed a ruling on whether boxer's backs can be used to display temporary tattoos advertising sponsors.

The commission discussed the 'consideration of marketing and endorsements on the boxer's backs with erasable advertisements during events'.

Under the plan, advertisers could have their message written in temporary tattoo form on the back of a chosen fighter.

However, the board delayed making any decision amid fears it could be 'demeaning' to the boxers involved.

One casino has already used temporary tattoos on a boxer to advertise itself.
