The five-year, multi-million dollar sponsorship, the first long-term agreement signed by the Australian Cricket Board, commences next month when the Australian team departs for the Travelex Australian Tour of South Africa and Zimbabwe.
Travelex will appear on Australian Test and One-Day International uniforms whilst overseas.
The new agreement follows Travelex’s sponsorship of the Australian team during its successful tour of the UK last year and will also include the exclusive naming rights to any Australia A and Australian Under-19 tours to overseas countries.
Sportsworld Media Group in London negotiated the five-year deal on behalf of Travelex. Sportsworld were also responsible for Travelex’s sponsorship and management of the Australian team during the 2001 Ashes Tour. The company has been appointed to manage the new sponsorship globally.
