The millionth sports trading contract changed hands on Intrade's exchange this week, on a total points contract for an English FA Cup match.
During its short life, £13.5m has been traded on the outcome of various sporting events.
Intrade allows members to buy and sell contracts on major sports events, in a similar way to how people trade stocks and shares, at prices determined wholly by market supply and demand.
Of the million contracts traded, the largest volume of activity can be seen on the NFL and on Man Utd to win the Premier League.
