Dorna Sports, who took over full in-house control of software, design, maintenance and contents for Motograndprix.com from Quokka at the beginning of the year, have seen visitor and membership statistics rise dramatically over the last twelve months, with the total number of pages visited more than doubling on the previous year.
A total of almost six million visits were made to the website in 2001, including no fewer than 2.5 million unique visitors; an increase of 33 percent and 38 percent respectively on 2000 figures.
Dorna Sports plans to re-launch the website in a completely new and revised format, with a view to showcasing broadband material.
The official website for the MotoGP and Motocross World Championships, has reported a surge in its audience - a boost to rights-holder Dorna which took over the running of the site following the collapse of Quokka Sports.
