These ranges are based on the company's ability to continue booking orders in the fourth quarter at a rate similar to order bookings during the first three quarters of the year. Revenues for the previous fiscal year were $152m (EUR172m).
"As we analyse the major areas of our business, we expect sales through the first three quarters in the sports market niches to be up slightly over last year," said James Morgan, chief executive officer and president of Daktronics.
"We are especially pleased with sales increases to smaller sports venues and believe that the expansion of our regional sales force is largely responsible for those increases. Revenues from larger sports venues are expected to be down slightly compared to last year, although through December, order bookings in the sports market niches increased compared to the same period last year."
In the fiscal year, the company announced that it had been chosen to provide integrated scoring and display systems for the Staples Center in Los Angeles, home of the Los Angeles Lakers, Clippers and Kings; and for a new municipal arena nearing completion in Oklahoma City.
