BroadJump, otherwise known as a broadband accelerator, will licence three products to NTL "to improve the consumer's experience of broadband".
The products should make the installation process of broadband relatively quick.
"Our goal is to deliver the best broadband experience possible," said Bill Goodland, director of internet at NTL.
NTL saw its shares plunge by 15 percent on the New York Stock Exchange on Monday. The company is struggling with more than £12billion ($17bn/EUR20bn) of debt.
NTL runs its football video services online via its Premium TV business.
