NFL players 'spied' on naked cheerleaders

Forty-four cheerleaders formerly employed by the Philadelphia Eagles have filed suit in Philadelphia Common Pleas Court claiming opposing teams spied upon them while the women changed and showered in the cheerleaders' locker room.

The suit, originally filed in August, names as defendants 29 NFL teams
and seeks punitive damages for 'invasion of privacy, trespass, intentional infliction of emotional distress, gross negligence, failure to supervise, conspiracy and outrageous conduct'.

The suit also names 500 'John Does' in lieu of naming specific players, coaches, owners and other team personnel.

Said the plaintiffs' attorney, Michael McKenna: "If the teams take no action, we will be forced to take depositions from all players, coaches and team personnel to determine who may have been involved."

The NFL and Eagles have not made any public comment on the claims.

The suit names every NFL team which visited the Eagles during the years when the plaintiffs were on the cheering squad. It does not name the Eagles or the Jacksonville Jaguars.
