The initiative, being led by the Singapore Sports Council, the Football Association of Singapore, the Law Society of Singapore and UK law firm Hammond Suddards Edge, was launched with a seminar examining the business of sport, the first of its kind to be held in the region.
Those attending the conference included representatives from England’s FA Premier League, the Football Association of Singapore, the Singapore Sports Council, the Law Society of Singapore, various government departments and national sports federations.
Sports Singapore is committed to establishing the country as one of the top ten sporting nations in Asia, and will focus on three key areas: ‘Sports for All’, ‘Sports Excellence’ and the development of a competitive sports industry.
