Who will be UEFA Champions?

The UEFA executive committee begin a two-day meeting today in Nyon to discuss key changes to the Champions League - including which agency should market the tournament.

Either IMG/TWI or current rights holder TEAM will emerge victorious, with a result expected tomorrow.

Meanwhile, UEFA chiefs will also discuss the format of the Champions League - including possibly dispensing with the second group stage in a bid to reduce the number of games played, while still ensuring maximum revenue opportunities for the clubs involved.

UEFA will also announce the winner from the nine bids to host the Champions League final and eight for the UEFA Cup final in 2003.

Among the stadiums bidding for the 2003 Champions League final are Old Trafford, Manchester; Stade de France, Paris; AOL Arena, Hamburg; and the Bernabeu in Madrid.

Those hoping to land the UEFA Cup final include Villa Park, Birmingham; the Olimpic, Seville; and the Philips Stadion in Eindhoven.
