The Australian Football League (AFL) has given the green light for the sale of Waverley Park.
AFL chief executive officer Wayne Jackson said the AFL Commission had accepted the recommendation of Anderson Consulting, who had overseen the tendering process, with the winning bid going to the Mirvac group.
Jackson said the sale agreement was a key plank in the future financial strategies of the AFL's national competition.
