Wireless Co raises millions for Special Olympics

US-based wireless communications company Cingular Wireless has raised USD11.5million (EUR12.89m) in 2001 for the Special Olympics.

With a four-year goal of raising USD40m (EUR44.8m) by 2003, Cingular has reached the halfway point by raising more than $20.4m (EUR22.8m) in two years.

Cingular is an Official Partner of Special Olympics USA and Official Sponsor of Special Olympics Team USA.

The fundraising efforts will help send Special Olympics Team USA athletes to the 2003 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Ireland.
