The Football Network names Solomon as CEO

The Football Network (TFN), the fledgling 24-hour gridiron football cable channel, has appointed Jerry Solomon to president and CEO of the company.

Solomon, who joined the TFN board in April, will immediately assume the role of overseeing the development of the TFN network.
"I have had the opportunity to be involved with many exciting ventures throughout my career,'' said Solomon. "I don't think there are any that match the potential that I see for TFN."
Beginning with his stint as the manager of the Colgate Grand Prix of tennis in 1978, Solomon has also represented athletes such as Ivan Lendl and Michael Chang (tennis); Janet Evans (swimming); Karch Kiraly (volleyball); Shannon Miller (gymnastics) and his wife, Nancy Kerrigan (figure skating).
Solomon served as president of ProServ from 1990 until 1995 when he left to start StarGames, the Boston-based sports and entertainment production company.
