The G14, the group comprising of the economic giants of European football, are reportedly studying North American models for a sustainable wage-cap system in Europe.

Alarmed by the growth of player salaries, Europe's richest clubs, according to The Sunday Telegraph, are determined to impose a suitable wage cap within the next two years.
The group are in consultation with Uefa about introducing a similar sytem as the US National Football League (NFL) which forbids to commit more than 63 percent of its income on wages.

"American law is different from European law," said Thomas Kurth, chief executive of G14, "But we can learn frm US systems."
