Former IMG executive John Webber, chairman of CSS Stellar, said: “We have spent a considerable amount of time seeking the right acquisition in a fragmented sector. PFD operates from offices in Covent Garden, London and includes Ewan McGregor and Kate Winslet among its clients.
The move confirms the AIM-listed company’s strategy of expanding its entertainment representation interests in tandem with its sports management portfolio.
PFD generated turnover of £6.6m ($9.3m/B10.5m) and adjusted profits before tax of £1.2m ($1.7m/B2.7m) in the year to March 31, 2001.
CSS Stellar reported turnover of £13.2m ($18.5m/B12.2m) in the financial year ending December, 2000.
