CricInfo's revenue forecasts 'on target'

Cricket website CricInfo will to break even in the first quarter of 2002, according to the site’s chairman Alex Balfour.

“Three months into our new business plan we are ahead of where we need to be to hit our March revenue targets,” Balfour said.

CricInfo had originally said that by March next year its target is to come out of the red and be showing signs of profitability.

The company, which boasts more than 3.5 million users, has also re-organised into national and regional units with Alex Balfour taking up the new position of regional manager in Europe, West Indies and Africa. His counterparts will be Badri Sehsadri who will concentrate his efforts on Asia and the Americas, whie Adrian Motherway will become manager of Australasia. All three will report to managing director Peter Griffiths.
