MLB audio streaming fans 'affluent and educated'

Baseball fans tuning into webcasts of World Series commentaries on Major League Baseball’s official site were an advertisers dream demographic, according to a new survey.

Listeners to World Series Games staged between October 27-November 4 on MLB.com were “well-educated, affluent and active online,” said the survey.
The survey by Arbitron's Webcast Audience Profiles indicated that 31 percent of the listeners to World Series games on MLB.com live in homes with annual incomes greater than $100,000 (B113,000), while only 16 percent of all American households are in that bracket.
