The agreement will also be extended to other European countries. Sports.com, formerly known as SportsLine Europe, provides comprehensive coverage of popular sports in the French market from its France.sports.com Web site for the Voila and Wanadoo sports channels.
The sites offer live match centres of events, timely analysis, and real-time statistics, as well as an online store where fans can purchase merchandise from their favourite teams. Among those sports that are featured include soccer, track and field, rugby, cycling, Formula 1 racing, tennis, skiing, basketball and golf.
"We are pleased to team up with France Telecom, one of the premier communications companies in the world, to provide the latest sports news, information and merchandise to French sports enthusiasts," said Michael Levy, chairman of Sports.com and chairman, president and CEO of SportsLine USA, Inc. "This alliance will escalate Sports.com's awareness and reach across Europe."
