NBA ALL-STAR GAME TO SHOW IN OVER 200 COUNTRIES

The 2000 NBA All-Star Game, taking place in the San Francisco Bay Area, February 11- 13, will be shown in 205 countries, with a potential audience of 750million households.

More than 50 international broadcasters are scheduled to be on-site for the event, of which 25 will broadcast live. Among the broadcaster scheduled to be on-site are: NHK (Japan) TBS (Japan) CTV (Taiwan) TV Azteco (Mexico), Wizja TV (Poland), Channel 5 (Israel) CCTV (China), Canal + (France, Belgium and Spain), ITV (UK), TV Bandeirantes (Brazil) and ESPN (broadcasting in Spanish, Portuguese and Chinese).

In North America, the event will broadcast on NBC and CTV (Canada). NBA.com will also provide global coverage worldwide with a live audio broadcast in ten languages.

Said NBA Executive vice-president, Heidi Ueberroth, "We're expecting the largest global audience ever for this year's All-Star Game."
