The Bluetorch Pro is the first competition on the 2000 World Championship Tour to take place in Southern California and will be held July 18-23 in Huntington Beach.
Bluetorch has also offered and secured corporate sponsorship for the following six events: O'Neill Cold Water Classic, Gotcha Pro Tahiti, Bluetorch Pro, East Coast Surfing Championship, MCD Def Con IV and Panasonic ShockWave US Open. The Bluetorch Pro and Gotcha Pro Tahiti are a part of the elite World Championship Tour.
Bluetorch is the only company producing major surfing competitions, in addition to producing television programming on Fox Sports Net, three print publications and Internet media. The strategy of Bluetorch's parent company, Broadband Interactive Group, is to build cross-media networks targeting specific demographic communities.
