NFL INTERNATIONAL MD QUINN JOINS SPORT BUSINESS 2000 LINE-UP

NFL International managing director Doug Quinn is the latest high-profile sports sector executive to confirm his participation at Sport Business 2000, the prestige conference organised by Sport Business International and Dow Jones.

Quinn, a veteran of NFL Properties and NFL International, will join ATP Tour CEO Mark Miles, International Rugby Board chairman Vernon Pugh, top boxing promoter Panos Eliades and others to deliver an invaluable insight into the future of sports and its relationship with business.The session, on April 15, is sure to be one of the highlights of an event which promises to set new standards in sports conferences. It promises a series of debates rather than company presentations and will tackle the full range of key issues facing sport.

Sport Business 2000 runs from April 13-15 at the QEII Conference Centre in central London. Quinn joined NFLI as senior director in 1997 following seven years with NFL Properties where he developed and managed marketing and sales efforts contributing to NFL's triple-digit growth in retail sales during the early '90s. He also developed and managed successful integrated marketing programs such as "VISA's NFL Quarterback Club Week on FOX." In the past two years with NFLI, Quinn has been responsible for the global marketing, fan development, special events, corporate partnerships and retail licensing of the NFL.

During that time, NFLI revenues have increased by more than 800 percent and participation in NFL fan development programs has reached nearly one million youngsters. Today he is Quinn responsible for all international operations and development activities of the NFL including, television distribution, licensing, sponsorship, marketing, American Bowls and the NFL Europe League.
