Lamoriello announced on Thursday that he would stay on with the Devils, despite speculation he might consider employment elsewhere following the approved sale of the franchise to YankeeNets. Terms of his Lamoriello's agreement were not disclosed. "The YankeeNets organisation has convinced me of their commitment to excellence, which is necessary to maintain an elite franchise," Lamoriello said. "I have been fortunate to have enjoyed a unique relationship with (former owner) Dr. John J. McMullen the past 13 years and will miss working with him on a day-to-day basis." The $175 million sale of the Devils from McMullen to YankeeNets is expected to be completed on July 12.
