SportYA! has become the first Internet portal ever to sponsor a professional Latin American soccer team.
The deal entitles SportsYA! to place its logo on the front of the Penarol jersey and grants rights to stadium signage as well as e-commerce of team merchandise.
Emilio Romano, president and CEO of SportsYA!, said: ?Sponsoring Penarol gives SportsYA! great leverage as
we enter Uruguay and gives us great exposure in neighboring Argentina, which regularly televises Penarol games."
SportsYA!, the Spanish and Portuguese language sports portal, has entered into a three-year sponsorship agreement with Uruguayan soccer club Atletico Penarol.
