Beginning Sunday, September 3, 2000, and culminating on Sunday, December 24, 2000, Westwood One/CBS Radio Sports will broadcast two weekly SportsLine.com programmes, NFL Today and NFL Sunday, during live Westwood One/CBS Radio Sports Sunday NFL broadcasts.
"The ability for us to integrate SportsLine.com's outstanding news organization with our radio production group will enable us to provide the most timely, up-to-date information we can, whether it's through our web sites or via our radio production and distribution partners at Westwood One," said Mark Mariani, president, sales and marketing for SportsLine.com.
As part of a three-year agreement, SportsLine.com leverages its existing sports content and programming resources to co-produce a combination of exclusive pre-game, halftime and post-game updates as well as scoreboard reports for all of Westwood One/CBS Radio Sports' coverage of live sporting events.
These events include NFL football, NCAA basketball, championship boxing, the U.S. Open and Masters golf championships and Notre Dame football.
In exchange, SportsLine.com receives a variety of on-air promotional mentions for CBS SportsLine.com programming, products and services on Westwood One/CBS Radio Sports broadcasts.
