COLEMAN AND NASCAR ANNOUNCE LICENSING AGREEMENT

The National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) and the Wichita-based Coleman Company have signed a licensing agreement.

The agreement allows Coleman to offer a line of products that incorporate the NASCAR logo. This is an extension of Coleman?s existing marketing partnership with NASCAR, signed last year. The partnership includes Coleman?s sponsorship of track campgrounds at a number of venues, including the Daytona International Speedway.

Coleman began selling the products under the licensing agreement at the Talladega race last weekend. The products are also available to consumers online, via Coleman?s website, and at certain retailers.

Coleman?s presence at the NASCAR campgrounds revolves around the 36-foot ?Coleman Cares? mobile service centre. It offers onsite product repair services, new product displays, interactive exhibits and additional consumer service programmes.

Gary Jones, vice-president of consumer marketing for Coleman, said: ?Our relationship with NASCAR has been extremely beneficial. We?ve enjoyed providing services to race fans, and campers in particular, while at the same time learning from them.

?We?ve incorporated their feedback into our new product offerings and will continue to do so.?
