COMCAST-SPECTACOR NAMES PHILADELPHIA PHANTOMS VP

Peter Casey has been named as the new vice president of the minor league hockey team Philadelphia Phantoms, owned by Comcast-Spetacor in the US.

Casey was most recently Comcast-Spectacor's sports marketing manager, and will handle all day-to-day business activities of the Phantoms, including fiscal management, sales, marketing, advertising, sponsorship sales, publicity and scheduling.

He will report directly to Comcast-Spectacor vice president of minor league operations Frank Miceli. Miceli, who oversees the day-to-day business operations of three minor league baseball teams - the Frederick Keys, the Bowie Baysox and the Delmarva Shorebirds - as well as the Phantoms, the Flyers' American Hockey League affiliate.

Casey joined Comcast-Spectacor in l999 from the Harlem Globetrotters, where he was a two-year regional marketing director, handling over 40 different markets throughout the United States.

Comcast-Spectacor is the Philadelphia-based sports and entertainment firm which
owns the Philadelphia Flyers, the Philadelphia 76ers, the Philadelphia Phantoms, Flyers Skate Zone, Comcast SportsNet and the Bowie Baysox, the Delmarva Shorebirds and Frederick Keys Baseball teams, all affiliates of the Baltimore Orioles.

Comcast-Spectacor is also the principal owner of Global-Spectrum, which manages public assembly facilities and events.
