Schwartz, who will continue to oversee the marketing at Comcast-Spectacor 's two Philadelphia facilities - the First Union Center and First Union Spectrum, will add marketing responsibilities for Global Spectrum, a firm engaged in managing public assembly facilities and events.
He will also oversee the marketing of Ovations Food Services, a food and concessions company, Flyers Skate Zone, a series of community skating rinks designed to promote ice skating and ice hockey in the Philadelphia region, and Comcast-Spectacor's minor league teams, including the Bowie Baysox, the Delmarva Shorebirds and Frederick Keys baseball teams and the Philadelphia Phantoms hockey team.
Before joining Comcast-Spectacor in l996, Schwartz was a marketing director for three SMG-managed facilities, including the London Arena, in London, England, the Los Angeles Sports Arena, in Los Angeles, California, and the Richmond Coliseum, in Richmond, Virginia.
