The deal will involve significant branding on the side pod, nose and front wing of the cars from the start of the 2002 Formula One season. The company's logo will also appear on the drivers? overalls and helmets.

Vodafone currently sponsors UK Premiership soccer club Manchester United and the England cricket team. Gent said he wants all Vodafone's customers and potential customers to ?recognise the Vodafone network wherever they are.?
Telecommunications giant Vodafone has signed a three-year sponsorship deal with the Ferrari Formula One team for an undisclosed sum.
