WORLD CUP SKATEBOARDING APPOINTS SPORTSWORLD MEDIA AS COMMERCIAL AGENTS

World Cup Skateboarding (WCS), the world skateboarding sanctioning body and tour organiser, has appointed action-sport marketing agency IMS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sportsworld Media Group plc to manage its commercial interests globally.

The arrangement will see IMS take charge of the marketing, promotion, and sponsorship portfolios of the WCS Tour and play a strategic role in raising the profile and professionalism of the world?s premier skateboarding tour.
`This relationship displays the commitment of both World Cup Skateboarding and IMS to the athletes and audiences of the sport of skateboarding,? said Adam Jacoby, managing director of IMS.
The WCS grew out the existence of the former National Skateboard Association. Former NSA president and directors, Don & Danielle Bostick, established the WCS in 1994 with a three-event programme.
This year, the tour boasts 18 events, with event destinations including the United States, Canada, England, Germany, Czech Republic, France, Switzerland, Austria and Brazil.
