John Carr, the director of cricket operations, and Tim O'Gorman, who will represent the England players and the Professional Cricketers Association (PCA), will both fly to Delhi and Kolkata to meet Indian officials and discuss arrangements.
The tour has been placed in doubt amid security fears after outbreaks of violence and the continuing threat posed by terrorists have left many members of the England team questioning the decision to fly to India.
Commenting on the trip, Carr stated: "This visit in no way calls into question the security arrangements planned by the Indian authorities. Following the events of September 11, security is obviously a concern and we fell that it is absolutely right that we meet with the Indian authorities to confirm details of their arrangements."
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is sending two of its members to India on Wednesday to review the security arrangements for the upcoming Test match tour between the two nations.
