Sign of future as Octagon signs extended deal

Octagon is set to recruit a new family of sponsors for the English Rugby Football Union (RFU) home internationals, after renewing its deal to handle Twickenham’s advertising signage.

The move by Octagon Movie & Media will see it introduce a new advertising rotational panel system to enhance the stadium’s advertising impact and appeal.

Octagon Movie & Media has worked with the RFU for the last two years, but the renewed three-year agreement will see the introduction of a 105-metre rotational advertising system – a first for UK rugby stadia.

Said Paul Vaughan, commercial director of the RFU: “It is our intention to create a family of sponsors and partners at Twickenham which have great visual impact through this new system. We are delighted to be the first in UK rugby to offer our sponsors and advertising partners this unique opportunity.”

The new system will feature up to ten advertisers and will be supplemented with perimeter board advertising in the stadium. The new look will be unveiled at the start of the autumn internationals with the England v Australia fixture on November 10.
