Australian soccer club Northern Spirit will play their NSL matches at North Sydney Oval for the next five years after securing a deal with the local council.
The Spirit have the option of extending the deal for a further 15 years with three more five-year agreements.
The licence agreement coincides with the installation of new permanent lighting at North Sydney Oval to replace the portable lights, which are currently used for Spirit night matches.
North Sydney Oval is also used for cricket, rugby union and Australian Rules matches and has been home to the Spirit since the club's inception in 1998.
