Mosley re-elected FIA chief

Max Mosley has been re-elected president of motorsport governing body the FIA.

His victory marks his third consecutive term and grants him another four-year term.

Marco Piccinini was elected deputy president of the FIA (Sport) for a second four-year term. Piccinini is the former manager of the Ferrari Formula One team.

The vote was taken during the FIA general assembly, gathered in Cologne, Germany, today.

Mosley was first elected president of FISA - the FIA's then sport division - in 1991, and re-elected in 1992.

In 1993, after the re-organisation of the FIA under which the FISA disappeared, Mosley was elected president of the FIA for the first time. He was then re-elected in 1997 and again today.
