The Argentine soccer champions, San Lorenzo, could have three points docked if they fail to pay their players' August salaries today.
If the club defaults, the funds will come from a special fund created on July 1 by the federation (AFA) the Fondo de Garantia Salarial.
If the club loses three points it will lie eight points behind the league leader Racing.
