Sponsors will not cough up the extra £13million ($19m/B
Rumour has it that the cost of the new stadium, which has been earmarked to host the 2005 World Athletics Championship, has now risen to £100m ($147m/B160m). The new figure will either have to be met by the UK government or from potential sponsors.
But Mike Reynolds, the director of the Institute of Sports Sponsorship, told sportbusiness.com
