UK company Aggreko has won an exclusive contract to supply temporary power for broadcasters during next year’s FIFA World Cup in Japan.
The company will supply power generation and supply systems at 10 Japanese venues. Aggreko will supply more than 15 MW of power and a distribution system using more than 100 kilometres of cable.
The deal, which also calls for design and planning input and 24-hour on-site maintenance, continues the company’s run of success in the international sports arena.
It will also supply power for the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics and was involved in the Sydney and Barcelona Olympiads.
