InterClubNet promotes Alec Jo McGivan

InterClubNet, the Alternative Investment Market (AIM)-listed online player-trading platform, has appointed Alec McGivan as its international sales and marketing director.

McGivan has been working for InterClubNet since last year and prior to that he led England’s bid to host the World Cup in 2006.

InterClubNet signed up about 70 soccer clubs, including Manchester United and Real Madrid, last year in the build up to its market debut on August 14 2000. Clubs pay a yearly fee of about B523,000 ($474,000) to gain access to a database containing information on players. The company’s shares are now more than half the value they were when they floated at 125p.
