Speaking to the newspaper La Prensa in Panama, Duran said he had no idea where the money had gone but blamed his manager, Carlos Eleta, and his wife, Felicidad, for spending it.
Duran lost on points on July 14 in Denver to 39-year-old Hector Camacho but reversed his decision to retire if he lost.
