One day after formally announcing the event, Showtime postponed its scheduled September 8 pay-TV broadcast of the Tyson-Brian Nielsen fight from Copenhagen, Denmark, until October 13, after Tyson developed an injury during training, sources close to the situation said.
"Mike has developed back spasms, which don’t allow him to train properly for the fight," the source stated.
Tyson last fought in October 2000, defeating Andrew Golota in three rounds.
Boxing fans will have to wait until October to see former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson in a boxing ring, despite a previous announcement this week stating that the renowned boxer would fight in September.
