Tenders are invited from pre-qualified contractors for the demolition of existing
facilities and construction of a new pool and recreation facility plus associated work at
7433 Edmonds Street in Burnaby.
This Tender is being issued electronically through the BC Bid website
(www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca) where any interested party may download the Tender documents
directly from the aforementioned website. No registration, tracking or other recording of
Tender document holders will be performed by the City. All addenda, amendments or further
information will be published on the BC Bid website. It is the sole responsibility of the
Tenderer to monitor the website regularly to check for updates.
Only the following pre-qualified General Contractors will be invited to tender for this
project:

3. Ellis Don
4. Graham Construction
5. Ledcor Construction
6. PCL Constructors Westcoast
7. Scott Construction Ltd.
8. Smith Bros & Wilson Ltd.
9. Stuart Olsen Dominion Construction Ltd. (formerly Dominion Fairmile Construction
Ltd.)
One hard copy set of Tender documents will be provided free of charge to each of the pre-
qualified General Contractors only at the Office of the Purchasing Manager, 6161 Deer Lake
Avenue, Burnaby BC, V5G 1M2, on or after Tuesday, September 28, 2010. The hard copy of the
documents will overrule all other forms of documents.
A site tour has been arranged for Wednesday October 13, 2010 starting at 2:00pm at the
Eastburn Community Centre, 7435 Edmonds St. in Burnaby to visit and examine the works. The
pre-qualified General Contractors or their agents shall register their presence with the
Consultant at the site tour stating the name of the contractor they represent.
The Tenderer shall submit three (3) copies of the executed Tender on the Form of Tender
provided, signed and with the Appendices to the Form of Tender, Bid Bond, Consent of
Surety, and Undertaking of Insurance in a sealed envelope, clearly identified with
Tenderer s name and marked "Tender # 120-07/10 Edmonds Pool and Community Centre" and
will be received at the Office of the Purchasing Manager, as noted below, up to 3:00 pm
local time, Wednesday, November 03, 2010.
